Hoping....
They would save themselves a lot of grief in having to deal with all the waiting families if they would set up some kind of status check website. You know all that MELD crap is on a computer already, it wouldn't be that difficult.
If only it were that easy. There are so many other factors: body size, if the donor used drugs or had hepatitis....... Unless the #1 person is dying at that very moment, high risk, and damaged livers will go to the people who have high risk lifestyles. Sometimes, it's a good thing to be skipped.
I know the wait is excruciating, but it is worth waiting for the right liver. I hope your transplant team has your best interest at heart, and will advocate for Geoff to get the very best liver he can. He will recover much better with a premium liver.
We are still praying for you.
